Understand your Bazi Chart

As a Joey Yap Student, we typically use his bazi plotting tool to plot our bazi chart which is free and easy to use. Here's the summary on what each part of the chart means. Throughout this blog, we'll give you more meaning and explanation each element so that from there you will be able to understand yourself more.

Natal Chart (aka your Bazi chart) tells you about your character, your strength and weakness, this chart does not change:

10 Years Luck Pillar (十年大运) shows you the big picture on your luck for each 10 years period:

Annual Bazi Stars tells you about your auxiliary stars for that 1 year period indicated in the chart, this changes every year and is usually updated around Oct:

Monthly Influcence helps to translate each month's pillar into your 10 gods which then tells you about your luck for each month of the current / coming year.

Natal Auxiliary Stars (神煞 / symbolic stars / gods & sha / angels & demons), these stars doesn't change as it's derived from your natal chart. It gives you additional meaning about your chart outside of the usual 10 gods.

5 Structures shows you the strength of each of the 5 elements in your chart. It had a natal version which is derived from your natal charge and doesn't change and the annual version which changes each year.

10 Profiles tells you about the strength of each of the 10 gods in your chart, there's a natal version which is derived from your natal chart and doesn't change and the annual version which changes each year. We typical like to focus on developing the profile which is between 65 - 85%, as anything high than that is usually too much.
