The most important element in your chart that you need to understand is your day master. Your day master is the main reference point when you are trying to understand more about other focus point around your life, e.g. career, relationship, friends, investments, etc. Also, to understand more about other parts of your life, you need to first understand yourself better.

Here's how you tell what's your day master, see highlighted item below:

If your day master is strong, you will notice that the description on that particular stem (壬 - Yang Water, for this example) would tell you more about your personality and how you behave.

What about the case where my day master is not strong? Or if you feel that sometimes when you read day master related books, you noticed that somehow, the description wasn't very accurate. Well this is because there's another stem in your chart that's much stronger than your day master and that particular stem would then have higher influence over your character than your own day master. This stem is what you called, your main profile. The inaccurate day master description usually happens when your day master's strength is < 50%.

The highlighted part above is your main profile, it's basically the 1st item in your 10 profile list, then look at the stem next to that profile, that's the one you need to find out about. To find about about the strength of your day master, look for "The Friend" profile in the list, if it's < 50% then you probably fall into this category especially if you haven't done anything to change yourself.

Here's some of Joey's notes on each of the 10 stems that you could download for free and read up on (as long as it's still available on their website):
I feel that if your day master isn't strong enough, you should definitely understand your day master even better because the more in sync you are with that stem (especially the positive part), the easier your life would be. Hence, being and demostrating those positive traits of the stem, you are strengthening yourself.

Note: If you have the time, do read all the stems that's > 50% in your profile as there would be some aspects of the stems that you would have characteristic of.
